Lot's of the poker shows these days are referring to the ,top 10, or ten best, or not one of the top hands.  Here is a list of what is considered the top 10 hands in Texas Holdem.

 

AA  (two aces)

KK (two kings)

QQ (two queens)

JJ (two jacks)

1010 (two tens)

99 (two nines)

88 (two eights)

AK Suited

AQ Suited

AK

 

If you were to play these hand to the end each and every time, you, on average will come out a winner.  If you were to ONLY play these hands for the rest of your poker life, you would probably accomplish the following things: loose many progressive tourneys, win more money, and become the tightest player your friends have ever scene.   In games were the blinds are continually raised, you might just have to take an ace and run with it.   Pocket twos are always tough to charge with, but as they say, deuces never leuces.
