Name: Ace Duce Jack
Players: 2 or more, one is the banker.
The skinny: In other words, this game is played between one hustler and one or more marks or helpers. You need cash, and a standard 52-card deck.
The scam: The deck, after three cards are discarded, and the dick is cut into three different piles. Once this is done, players bet to see if any of the cards, turned face up will be an Ace, Duce or Jack. The odds are that it will be an Ace Duce or a Jack. And the Dealer usually wins. The odds are specifically, exactly, are not so good. So maybe we can’t compute the exact odds, but here is an estimate. Let’s say that three of the Ace Duce or Jack are discarded. Leaving 49 to choose from and 9 cards left to pick. So, that’s 9/49 on the first draw, and if we don’t get it, it’s 9/48 on second, and 9 out of 47. To me it looks like 60% chance of loose, but I know that’s not right. Some Probability experts should help me out here.
The deal: Just don’t play.
The Macs (the scam backwards) The scam can work the same way but with the mark being the dealer. And, they also have the extra option of picking the cards each time. Which set of three, but this does nothing to improve the odds, only lessen them.
