This is throwing dice, rolling the bones, mama needs a new pair of shoes kind of action.

Craps is a very fast paced game and dates back to cave man times when spotted animal bones where thrown (throwing the bones).  In today’s game you can be on almost any type of combination of activity with the dice.  All wagers are mapped to the dice total for the two dice tossed.  The person throwing the dice is known as the shooter.

The basic place to place your bet in on the pass line.  The bets for the pass line must be place before the first roll of the game.  If the dice total either 7 or 11, yo, then you win your pass line bet.  If the dice total 2, 3 or 12, you have craps, and you loose your passline bet.  Any other number thrown will be called a point and any bets on that number are effected.  Once that number has been thrown, it is the new pass line value that the shooter wants to get.  The player or shooter will keep tossing the dice until either their number or point is thrown or a 7 is thrown.  After the first toss the 7 is now the new craps number.  If a 7 is thrown at any other time from the first toss, it is a looser.

The exception to the 7 being a loose is “the don’t” pass line.  This is where a play is betting with the casino and that the play will not pass.  If the first roll is a 2,3 or 12, the player will win.  If the second or subsequent tosses add up to 7, then the better will also win.

The come bets are made at any time after the first roll.  A come bet is just like placing a pass line bet, but it can be done at any time during the play.  If you think that they shooter’s 10 toss is going to be a 7, then you can place a come bet.  If the throw is not a 7, then it is placed on that number on the board.  If the toss is a 2,3, or 12 you loose that best.  It is very similar to starting the dice over whenever you want.  There is also a “don’t come” option on the table, and it is to come and don’t pass is to pass.

The board is filled with all types of betting options.  You can bet on the field, which is any 3, 4, 9, 10, 11.  Hard ways, where you bet on the dice being the same count, pairs of twos, threes, fours, etc.
